Neighborhood Public Outreach Meetings. Two neighborhood outreach meetings have been held on the Bel Air Greens project:  One on Wednesday April 6, 2022 and the second on Tuesday May 10, 2022.  Both meetings were held at 5:30 pm and conducted online via Zoom. 

These meetings provided an opportunity for residents, property owners and interested community members to engage with the applicant early in the conversion project.  It allowed the community to learn about the project, communicate what is important about the neighborhood and discuss what new uses the community might support that would contribute positively to the neighborhood.

While a variety of comments were heard, the general sentiment of the community at these meetings was to oppose the proposed conversion to single-family residential uses.  Many commenters felt there should be no development and the land should be left as a conservation area. A summary of the comments will be available when the item is reviewed at the Planning Commission Study Session.
