Pursuant to the Government Code Section 54957.5(b)(2) the designated office for inspection of public records in connection with the meeting is the Planning Department, City Hall, 3200 E. REPORT OF THE POSTING OF AGENDA:  The agenda for this meeting was posted for public review at the City Hall bulletin board (west side of Council Chamber) and the Planning Department counter in accordance with applicable law. 

ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGENDA:  The Historic Site Preservation Board will discuss the order of the agenda, may amend the order, note abstentions and request Consent Calendar items be removed from the consent calendar for discussion. 

PUBLIC COMMENT:   This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the Historic Site Preservation Board on agenda items and items of general interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board.  Although the Historic Site Preservation Board values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda.  There will be three (3) minutes assigned for each speaker.  Testimony for Public Hearings will be taken at the time of the hearing.

1. SPECIAL REPORT:   Update of Stabilization of the Cornelia White House (HSPB #4), (Staff Franco Laurie)

2.   CONSENT CALENDAR:

2.A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:  HSPB MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 13, 2016.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the minutes as presented. 

3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

3.A. CASE HSPB #99 - 2796 NORTH PALM CANYON DRIVE SHELL STATION, “THE CODY GAS STATION”.

 RECOMMENDATION:  Receive the draft historic resources report and direct staff to schedule a noticed public hearing of the Board to consider possible recommendation for Class 1 historic site designation. 

4. NEW BUSINESS:

4.A. CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL REQUEST BY THE RACQUET CLUB GARDEN VILLAS HOA FOR LANDSCAPE REVISIONS IN THE COMMON AREAS OF THE RACQUET CLUB COTTAGES WEST HISTORIC DISTRICT, LOCATED AT 360 WEST CABRILLO ROAD, (HSPB #88, HD-3 / CASE 3.0839).
        
RECOMMENDATION:  Grant the Certificate of Approval. 

5. DISCUSSIONS: 

5.A. FINAL COMMENTS ON THE CITYWIDE HISTORIC RESOURCE SURVEY.  (Staff, Lyon)

 5.B.  FINALIZATION OF THE 2016/17 HSPB WORK PLAN.

5.C. 2013 OCTOBER MODERNISM SHOW BOOTH (Oct 21-23). (Staff, Lyon)

5.D. UPDATE: 2017 NAT’L. PRESERVATION MONTH SYMPOSIUM.  (Burkett).

5.E. EDUCATION & OUTREACH: 
      1.  Standard City letter to building owners.  (Staff, Lyon)
      2.  Update on outreach to Board of Realtors.  (Staff, Chair Johns).

ADJOURNMENT:  The Historic Site Preservation Board will adjourn to its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 9:00 A.M, in the Large Conference Room at City  Hall.
