Susan J. Samtur, the Original Coupon Queen, was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She attended New York City Public School and received her B.S. and M.S. in Education from The City College of New York. She married Stephen and was an elementary school teacher for eleven years. Susan and Steve have four sons. While bringing up four children on a budget, Susan began collecting "scraps" of paper coupons to save money. Realizing their importance in greatly reducing her weekly grocery bill, she quickly became turned on to coupons.
Susan has also appeared on over 500 television shows on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and FOX. Her appearances include interviews with Larry King, Dinah Shore, Merv Griffin, Phil Donahue, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Fox & Friends, 20/20, Oprah and Regis Philbin.
