REPORT OF THE POSTING OF AGENDA:  The agenda for this meeting was posted for public review at the City Hall bulletin board (west side of Council Chamber) and the Planning Department counter by 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in accordance with applicable law. 

ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGENDA:  The Historic Site Preservation Board will discuss the order of the agenda, may amend the order, note abstentions and request Consent Calendar items be removed from the consent calendar for discussion. 

PUBLIC COMMENT:   This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the Historic Site Preservation Board on agenda items and items of general interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board.  Although the Historic Site Preservation Board values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda.  There will be three (3) minutes assigned for each speaker.  Testimony for Public Hearings will be taken at the time of the hearing.

  RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Historic Site Preservation Board Minutes of June 11, 2019.

 2.       PUBLIC HEARINGS: 

 2.A.    AN APPLICATION BY MARTYN LAWRENCE BULLARD, OWNER, REQUESTING CLASS 1 HISTORIC RESOURCE DESIGNATION OF “THE ALLAN AND MILDRED KRAMER RESIDENCE” LOCATED AT 800 EAST GRANVIA VALMONTE, (APN# 507-202-017), CASE HSPB #119.  (KL).

RECOMMENDATION: 

          1.       Open the public hearing and take testimony. 

2.       Close the public hearing and adopt Resolution HSPB #119:  “A resolution of the Historic Site Preservation Board of the City of Palm Springs, California, recommending that the City Council DESIGNATE “The Allan & Mildred Kramer Residence”, located at 800 East Granvia Valmonte Drive (APN#:  507-202-017), A CLASS 1 HISTORIC RESOURCE, Case #HSPB 119.”

2.B.    AN APPLICATION BY DIANE BALD, REPRESENTING THE DIANE BUDMAN BALD FAMILY TRUST, OWNER, REQUESTING CLASS 1 HISTORIC RESOURCE DESIGNATION OF “THE KIRK DOUGLAS RESIDENCE”, LOCATED AT 515 WEST VIA LOLA DRIVE, (APN #505-252-032), CASE HSPB #118 (KL).   HSPB #118 The Kirk Douglas Residence Class 1 Nomination

 RECOMMENDATION: 

          1.       Open the public hearing and take testimony

           2.       Close the public hearing and adopt Resolution HSPB #118:  “A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC SITE PRESERVATION BOARD OF THE CITY                OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL DESIGNATE “THE KIRK DOUGLAS RESIDENCE” LOCATED AT 515 WEST VIA LOLA AS A CLASS 1 HISTORIC RESOURCE, CASE #HSPB 118.”
