Palm Springs residents are invited to share their input on how to most effectively spend a $10 million state grant to address homelessness throughout the city at a special City Council Study Session and Community Forum on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
The 6 p.m. meeting will be held in Primrose A at the Palm Springs Convention Center, 277 N. Avenida Caballeros.
Barbara Poppe, a nationally recognized leader on homeless issues and former executive director of the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness, will lead the public meeting, which will be the one and only chance for residents to provide input before the City makes its request to the State of California with recommendations on how to spend the funds. Residents who cannot attend are invited to provide public comment via email by contacting the City Clerk at CityClerk@palmspringsca.gov. The meeting will be broadcast live online at www.palmspringsca.gov and on Palm Springs Community Television Channel 17.
