Teen Craft: Alma Woodsey Thomas Inspired Art Kit

 

Schedule an appointment to pick up a teen craft kit 

Create your own art inspired by Alma Woodsey Thomas, detailed instructions will be included. 

Come to the library to pick up your craft kit beginning on Thursday, February 10th.

Supplies are limited, for grades 6-12. 

 

Alma Woodsey Thomas (September 22, 1891 – February 24, 1978) was an African-American artist and teacher who lived and worked in Washington, D.C., and is now recognized as a major American painter of the 20th century. Thomas is best known for the "exuberant", colorful, abstract paintings that she created after her retirement from a 35-year career teaching art.

 

 

 


Assisted Listening Devices (ALDs) are instruments designed to amplify sounds to make it easier for persons who are hearing‑impaired to enjoy a library program.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City of Palm Springs, should contact the ADA Coordinator, as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
