Nina Revoyr is the author of six novels, including Southland—a Los Angeles Times Bestseller and "Best Book" of the year, Lambda Literary Award winner, and 2021 pick for the California Book Club; The Age of Dreaming, a Los Angeles Times Book Award finalist, Wingshooters, an O: Oprah Magazine "Book to Watch For" and winner of the Indie Booksellers' Award, and Lost Canyon, a San Francisco Chronicle “Recommended Book.” Her most recent novel is A Student of History. She has been an associate faculty member at Antioch College and a visiting professor at Cornell University, Occidental College, Pitzer College, and Pomona College; and currently works as part of a philanthropic effort to improve economic mobility for low-income children and families. Nina lives in the Los Angeles area with her wife.

Rachel M. Harper is the author of three novels: THE OTHER MOTHER, a Time Best Book of the Month and Book Riot Best Book of 2022 so far; THIS SIDE OF PROVIDENCE, shortlisted for the Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary Excellence; and BRASS ANKLE BLUES, a Borders’ Original Voices Award finalist and Target Breakout Book. Her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has been widely published and anthologized. Harper has received fellowships from Yaddo and MacDowell, and is on the faculty at Spalding University's Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing. She lives in Los Angeles with her wife and children.

 

 

 

 


Byron Lane

Byron Lane's debut novel is called A Star Is Bored, hailed by The New York Times as "wildly funny," about an earnest assistant struggling to manage his eccentric movie star boss, inspired in part by Lane’s time as assistant to beloved actress Carrie Fisher.

Lane is a two-time regional Emmy Award winner from his time as a television news journalist. He also wrote the acclaimed play Tilda Swinton answers an Ad on Craigslist, the award winning web series Last Will and Testicle, and the feature film Herpes Boy starring Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer.

He lives in Palm Springs with his husband, bestselling author Steven Rowley, and their dog, Raindrop.

 


Steven Rowley

Steven Rowley is the bestselling author of Lily and the Octopus, a Washington Post Notable Book of 2016 and The Editor, named by NPR and Esquire Magazine as one of the Best Books of 2019. His new novel, The Guncle, was a Goodreads Choice Awards finalist for Novel of the Year.

Lily and the Octopus is in development as a feature film at Amazon Studios. The Editor was optioned by Twentieth Century for director Greg Berlanti. Feature film rights for The Guncle have been picked up by Lionsgate. Steven has worked as a freelance writer, newspaper columnist and screenwriter. Originally from Portland, Maine, he is a graduate of Emerson College. He currently resides in Palm Springs with his husband, the writer Byron Lane.

 

 


Rebecca Walker

Rebecca Walker is a best-selling writer, producer, and cultural critic who has contributed to the global conversation about race, gender, sexuality, power and the evolution of the human family for more than two decades. Her books include Black, White and Jewish: Autobiography of a Shifting Self, Baby Love: Choosing Motherhood After a Lifetime of Ambivalence, Black Cool: One Thousand Streams of Blackness, Ade: A Love Story, the interactive journal What’s Your Story: A Guide to Everyday Evolution. She has received many awards, and was named by Time Magazine as one of the most influential leaders of her generation. Her new book is Women Talk Money: Breaking the Taboo.
