National Day of Reading: A Celebration of Stories Supporting Transgender and Non-Binary Youth
Join us on Saturday, February 18th, at 11:00 am to celebrate National Day of Reading: A Celebration of Stories Supporting Transgender and Non-Binary Youth (sponsored by the Human Rights Commission of Palm Springs and the Palm Springs Public Library).
The Welcoming Schools' National Day of Reading inspires caring community members to join together to advocate for the human rights of transgender and non-binary youth and ensure that every child has access to LGBTQ+ affirming spaces.
The goal is to foster a climate that instills positive change and provides the necessary support for our LGBTQ+ students (especially transgender and non-binary youth).
Assisted Listening Devices (ALDs) are instruments designed to amplify sounds to make it easier for persons who are hearing‑impaired to enjoy a library program.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City of Palm Springs, should contact the ADA Coordinator, as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
