Queer Love, Lust, Eros and Everything in Between (Theater 2)

A lively conversation about sex, romance, and erotica from LGBTQ+ writers.


Moderated by Sam Cohen (Photo credit Alison Picard)Sam Cohen is a writer whose work is interested in the dynamics of collectives, how we are animals, and how queer love might refigure the world. She is the author of the formally-inventive linked story collection Sarahland (Grand Central Publishing 2021). Sam teaches creative writing and queer studies at Oberlin College while dreaming of the wild flora and sweaty dance floors of Los Angeles.

 

 

 


Daniel JaffeDaniel M. Jaffe is an internationally published award-winning author.  His most recent novel, The Grand Sex Tour Murders, was selected by the review publication Out in Print as one of their 10 Favorite Books of 2022.  His short-story collection Foreign Affairs: Male Tales of Lust & Love was chosen by Kirkus Reviews as One of the Best Indie Books of 2020. 


 

 

 


Kamala Puligandla (Photo credit Jess X Snow)Kamala Puligandla is a writer and editor in LA, who writes autobiographical fiction and essays on queer love and futures. She is the author of the novel, Zigzags (Not A Cult, 2020) and the novella You Can Vibe Me On My FemmePhone (Co-Conspirator Press, 2021). Kamala directs communications at the Feminist Center for Creative Work, and is well-known for her contagious laughter. 

 

 

 

 


Cristy C. Road (Photo credit Guy Furrow)Cristy C. Road is a first generation Cuban-American artist, writer, and musician. Rooted in punk, queer, and feminist communities, Road has spent over 20 years illustrating her story and publishing it. With ink, markers, paint and words, her books, zines, and punk rock narratives are for healing the marginalized body through awkward truth. She published Green’zine from 1997-2004, and since has released three graphic novels tackling mental health, sexuality, cultural identity, and punk; as well as countless illustrations for music, publishing, and social movements. Her most recent projects are the Next World Tarot, a tarot deck about revolution, and her band— Choked Up. She’s currently writing songs and dystopian romance in Brooklyn, NY.  

 

 

 


Brittny Roberts

Brittny Roberts is the author of the seductive and introspective Lesbians In Bed series.  She is also the creator and host of The Lesbian PodQUEST, currently in its third season. As a late-in-life lesbian, Brittny was eager to embrace her community, her sexuality, and most importantly…herself. Through listening, learning, and lots of therapy she has come to understand the true meaning of ‘Pride.’ She looks forward to continuing her journey as she embarks on her next several projects; one of which, will be to finish her third book in the LIB series.

 

 

 


Rob RosenMulti-award-winning and best-selling author/editor/anthologist Rob Rosen is the author of Sparkle: The Queerest Book You'll Ever Love, Divas Las Vegas, Hot Lava, Southern Fried, Queerwolf, Vamp, Queens of the Apocalypse, Creature Comfort, Fate, Midlife Crisis, Fierce, And God Belched, Mary, Queen of Scotch, Ted of the d'Urbervilles, Sort of Dead, Genie in a Vodka Bottle, and Bobby Ray Breaks the Universe. His short stories have appeared in more than 200 anthologies. You can read some of his best ones in Short Spurts, Short Spurts 2, and Short Spurts 3.
