Mar 9 at 2:30 pm:

Get Oscar Ready! Let's Talk Oscars

Get ready for the Academy Awards (on March 10 at 4pm PST on ABC) by joining Movie Librarian Scott Biegen as he leads us through all things Oscar!

From the snubs (Gerwig, Robbie, Barrino, Payne and All of Us Strangers) and surprises (Ferrera! Benning!) to the favorites and all the drama in-between, we'll talk about what happened last year, how nominees and winners are selected, and we’ll make predictions for this year’s winners. Will the Academy find a path to honor Barbie in a major way, or will they award Oppenheimer all the things? Can another film like Killers of the Flower Moon or The Holdovers keep Barbie and Oppenheimer from Oscar glory? The program will be from 2:30 - 4 p.m. in the Learning Center.
