Using DNA to Confirm Your Ancestors

This event is presented by the Palm Springs Genealogical Society with guest speaker Scott Buchanan. This FREE program will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in The Learning Center.  

Have you submitted your DNA to one of the genetic testing companies? Learn how your results can help you identify your ancestors. 

Scott Buchanan is a retired CFO and Professor of Finance. He was previously a Chief Financial Officer for public and private technology companies in Silicon Valley. He has served on various not for profit Boards, a member of Financial Executives International and the President of the Sun City Shadow Hills Genealogy Club. He lives in both the Coachella Valley and Northwest Michigan with his wife Karen. 

Assisted Listening Devices (ALDs) are instruments designed to amplify sounds to make it easier for persons who are hearing‑impaired to enjoy a library program.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City of Palm Springs, should contact the ADA Coordinator, as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
