Meditation & Mindfulness: Sound Bath
Presented by Lisa Botts
Join instructor Lisa Botts as she guides us through the basic principles of a sound bath experience. A sound bath is a deeply immersive, experiential meditation that delivers you to a fully relaxed state of ease. Think of it as a power-down for your busy mind and a massage for your tapped-out nervous system.
The sound bath is a combination of crystal healing bowls and gong played in a manner to lull your body and mind into a space of relaxation. The vibrations from the bowls and gong help to calm the central nervous system allowing the body to begin to restore. Your energy translates the experience. You may feel different physical sensations, clear old thought patterns, have visions or simply fall asleep. However it translates, you will definitely be relaxed.
Lisa Botts has been teaching and sharing the practice of meditation since 2018. Shifting perspectives is one of the practical approaches Lisa uses so people can know the benefits of mindfulness and meditation through finding their own quiet practice. Lisa is a certified emotions therapist, KRI certified Kundalini Yoga and meditation teacher, IKYTA member, Reiki energy guide, professional sound therapist and author.
Assisted Listening Devices (ALDs) are instruments designed to amplify sounds to make it easier for persons who are hearing‑impaired to enjoy a library program.
