Palm Springs Sustainable and Wild:
Learn More About Composting,
A New Lecture Partnership with the Oswit Land Trust.
Join Haley Preston the founder of Desert Compost for a presentation on how to make your home more sustainable through composting. The presentation will give community members an understanding of the benefits in community composting. We begin by looking at our resources differently through conserving landscape clippings and food scraps and turning them into healthy soil. Learn how composting conserves water, reduces waste, creates healthy food systems, and sequesters carbon, which positively impacts the health of our planet and our communities. Learn the steps to choosing a system that works for you and how to start a backyard compost pile. For more information email David Paisley DavidP@OswitLandTrust.org.
