NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of Palm Springs and the Board of the City of Palm Springs Community Redevelopment Agency will conduct a Special Meeting commencing at 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 18, 2011, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 3200 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, to discuss Items on the attached Special Meeting Agenda.

CALL TO ORDER:

PUBLIC COMMENT: This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the City Council and Community Redevelopment Agency members on agenda items; and items of general interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City. Although the City Council/Community Redevelopment Agency values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda. Three (3) minutes assigned for each speaker.

NEW BUSINESS

1.    JOINT ITEM OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY APPROVING TWO COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS AND THE PALM SPRINGS REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO PROVIDE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE, OPERATIONAL, AND STAFFING COSTS AND CERTAIN EXISTING DEBT OBLIGATIONS:

RECOMMENDATION CITY COUNCIL: 1) Approve an Agreement with the Palm Springs Community Redevelopment Agency for long-term staffing costs relating to administration; 2) Approve an Agreement with the Palm Springs Community Redevelopment Agency for certain existing obligations; and 3) Authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreements on behalf of the City.
