PALM SPRINGS SALES TAX RATE UPDATE
The City of Palm Springs sales tax rate is 9.25%.
(EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2018)

Measure D: The City of Palm Springs .50% local tax, approved by voters in November 2017, went into effect on April 1, 2018.

On December 31, 2016, the voter-approved Proposition 30 expired (The Schools and Local Public Safety Protection Act of 2012); it had imposed a temporary statewide sales and use tax of 0.25%, which resulted in a sales tax decrease. The City of Palm Springs sales tax rate of 8.75% became effective on January 1, 2017.

Measure J: The City of Palm Springs 1% local tax measure, approved by voters in November 2011, became effective April 1, 2012.
