Located at 105 South Indian Canyon Dr., the Downtown Experience is home to the Police Department's bicycle patrol unit, a contingent of four sworn Police Officers and a Police Sergeant. The officers are able to quickly and efficiently respond to calls for service in the Downtown corridor during peak times, provide a high-visibility presence throughout the area, and conduct proactive enforcement.

When the Downtown Experience opened for business on January 3, 1999, its mission was to provide quality police services in the heart of Palm Springs. A strict enforcement posture was the first order of business, and while enforcement is on-going, the mission has shifted to exploring long-term solutions to the quality of life issues facing all members of the community.  The officers of the Downtown Experience work hand-in-hand with local business owners, managers, and employees to ensure that the Downtown corridor remains a safe and pleasant attraction for residents and visitors alike.
