Lateral police officer new-hires are eligible to receive a $30,000 hiring bonus ($10,000 at time of hire and $10,000 after the first year, and $10,000 at the completion of probation), use of current tenure toward longevity pay, pay comparable to current pay rate (must be approved by Chief of Police and City Manager).
