REPORT OF THE POSTING OF AGENDA:  The agenda for this meeting was posted for public review at the City Hall bulletin board (west side of Council Chamber) and the Planning Department counter in accordance with applicable law. 

ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGENDA:  The Historic Site Preservation Board will discuss the order of the agenda, may amend the order, note abstentions and request Consent Calendar items be removed from the consent calendar for discussion. 

PUBLIC COMMENT:   This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the Historic Site Preservation Board on agenda items and items of general interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board.  Although the Historic Site Preservation Board values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda.  There will be three (3) minutes assigned for each speaker.  Testimony for Public Hearings will be taken at the time of the hearing.

1.         CONSENT CALENDAR:

1.A.     APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:   FEBRUARY 9, 2016 & MARCH 8, 2016 HSPB MEETING.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Historic Site Preservation Board Minutes of February 9, 2016 and March 8, 2016.

2.         NEW BUSINESS:

2.A.     A CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL REQUEST BY O & M HR, LLC FOR EXTERIOR BUILDING AND LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS AT TAHQUITZ PLAZA, A CLASS 1 HISTORIC SITE LOCATED AT 600, 650, 700 AND 750 EAST TAHQUITZ CANYON WAY, ZONE REO, SECTION 14 SPECIFIC PLAN (HSPB 97 AND 3.3951 MAA). (DN)

RECOMMENDATION:  Approve proposed changes and issue of certificate of approval to the Building Official.

2.B.     A CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL REQUEST BY MICHAEL BECKMAN, OWNER OF TRUSS & TWINE BAR & RESTAURANT FOR ALTERATIONS IN THE COURTYARD OF THE EL PASEO BUILDING, A CLASS 1 HISTORIC SITE LOCATED AT 800 NORTH PALM CANYON DRIVE, ZONE C-1/R-3; (HSPB #27 AND 3.1198 MAA).  (KL)

RECOMMENDATION:  Deny the Certificate of Approval and revise accordingly.

3.         DISCUSSIONS: 

3.A.     UPDATE ON THE RESTORATION & STABILIZATION OF THE CORNELIA WHITE HOUSE.  (Staff member Laurie, Public Works)

3.B.     UPDATE ON PROGRESS ON THE HSPB ANNUAL WORK PLAN (Staff member Lyon).
