Pursuant to Executive Order N-29-20, this meeting will be conducted by teleconference and there will be no in-person public access to the meeting location.

At the appropriate time, a staff member will invite you to provide your public testimony to the Board.
• The meeting will be recorded and the audio file will be available from the Office of the City Clerk and will be posted on the City’s YouTube channel, as soon as practicable.

REPORT OF THE POSTING OF AGENDA:  The agenda for this meeting was posted for public review at the City Hall bulletin board (west side of Council Chamber) and the Planning Department counter by 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 as required by established policies and procedures.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGENDA:  The Historic Site Preservation Board will discuss the order of the agenda, may amend the order, note abstentions and request Consent Calendar items be removed from the consent calendar for discussion. 

PUBLIC COMMENT:   This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the Historic Site Preservation Board on agenda items and items of general interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board.  Although the Historic Site Preservation Board values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda.  There will be three (3) minutes assigned for each speaker.  Testimony for Public Hearings will be taken at the time of the hearing.

1.       CONSENT CALENDAR:

1.A.    APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:  MAY 4, 2021 HSPB MEETING.

 RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Historic Site Preservation Board Minutes of May 4, 2021.

2.       PUBLIC HEARINGS:  (None.)

3.       UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  (None.)

4.       NEW BUSINESS:

4.A.  WALTER & KATE DRIVER, OWNERS, FOR ALTERATIONS TO A CLASS 3 HISTORIC SITE LOCATED AT 688 EAST VEREDA SUR AND POSSIBLE RE-DESIGNATION AS A CLASS 1 OR 2 HISTORIC SITE.  (CASE 3.4226 MAA) (KL)

RECOMMENDATION:  Take no action and allow the processing of building permits for the proposed alterations.

4.B.    MICHAEL AND LORI-JANE GELHARD, OWNERS, FOR FULL DEMOLITION OF A CLASS 4 SITE LOCATED AT 416 WEST HERMOSA PLACE  AND POSSIBLE RE-DESIGNATION AS A CLASS 1 OR 2 HISTORIC SITE.  (CASE 3.4271 MAA) (KL)

RECOMMENDATION:  Take no action and allow the processing of building permits for the proposed alterations.
