Transportation accounts for roughly 40% of the City of Palm Springs'

community-wide greenhouse gas emissions. You can help reduce these

emissions by using public transit, driving low- and no-emission vehicles,

biking (including skateboarding, roller-skating, etc.) or walking whenever

possible.

Public Transit

Sunline Transit Agency

Sunline Transit Agency is the regional transit operator that services the Coachella Valley, extending to San Bernadino during peak hours. Sunline's bus service has three routes (Routes 1WV, 2 and 4) that run through Palm Springs and connects to other cities within the valley. Fares start at $1 for adults and can be purchased through the Token Transit app. You can find a map of the routes here: System Map

Microtransit

SunRide

Sunline offers a microtransit service called "SunRide" which connects riders to their specified destinations via the closest point along SunLine's fixed bus network or fixed points of interest. Using the SunRide app, you can enter a pick-up and drop-off location and a SunRide Vehicle will come pick you up from the nearest stop within walking distance of your specified pick-up location then drop you off at the stop nearest to your specified drop-off location. The fare is only $3 and includes free transfers to SunLine local routes 1-9.

Biking

Palm Springs host an extensive network of bike lanes and routes in and around the city to help riders have a safe an enjoyable trip. Many hotels and resorts offer complimentary bike rental services for guest as well as the city offering free repair stations in designated areas.
