RECOMMENDATION:

1. Open the public hearing and receive public testimony.  

2. Close the public hearing and adopt Resolution HSPB 102, “A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC SITE PRESERVATION BOARD OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL DESIGNATE THE PARCEL AT 1611 SOUTH CALLE PALO FIERRO “THE DESERT STAR APARTMENTS” AS CLASS 1 HISTORIC SITE #HSPB - 102, SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS.”

RECOMMENDATION:

RECOMMENDATION:  Grant the Certificate of Approval for the wall sconce fixtures as submitted and direct the applicant to propose an alternative misting system requiring less attachment and impact to the historic integrity of the building and the feel of the courtyard.
