The Navigation Center Will Be Operated By Martha's Village and Kitchen
Martha’s Village and Kitchen was selected to operate through a request for Letters of Interest (LOI) issued by the City of Palm Springs.
Martha has extensive experience providing Coachella Valley with homeless services utilizing a “Housing First” approach with homeless housing and wrap around-services since its inception in 2001 and will continue to use this model in the Palm Springs Navigation Center.
Martha’s Village and Kitchen is regarded as the first resource center of its kind in the region with over two decades of experience providing wrap around and workforce services to homeless individuals as well as healthcare in collaboration with Borrego Health. Martha's is also a State licensed childcare provider with current programs that include medical, dental and drug and alcohol counseling services provided in partnership with Borrego Health.
Due to their decades of experience and expertise working with homeless individuals, on Jan. 27, 2022 the City Council unanimously voted to approve a Contract Service Agreement with Martha’s Village and Kitchen to operate the Navigation Center.
A Resident Advisory Working Group of residents, business owners and service providers has been established primarily in the Navigation Center's immediate vicinity to share input and feedback.
