REPORT OF THE POSTING OF AGENDA: The agenda for this meeting was posted for public review at the City Hall bulletin board (west side of Council Chamber) and the Planning Department counter in accordance with applicable law.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGENDA: The Historic Site Preservation Board will discuss the order of the agenda, may amend the order, note abstentions and request Consent Calendar items be removed from the consent calendar for discussion.
PUBLIC COMMENT: This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the Historic Site Preservation Board on agenda items and items of general interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. Although the Historic Site Preservation Board values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda. There will be three (3) minutes assigned for each speaker. Testimony for Public Hearings will be taken at the time of the hearing.

1.A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: November 10, 2015 MEETING.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Historic Site Preservation Board Minutes of November 10, 2015.
2. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
2.A. LAS PALMAS BUSINESS HISTORIC DISTRICT
RECOMMENDATION: Receive the staff report and direct staff as necessary.
2.B. CONT’D – APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS FOR A CODE AMENDMENT TO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 8.05.125 TO RE-DEFINE ELIGIBILITY FOR CLASS 3 HISTORIC STRUCTURES/SITES (CASE 5.1311-A). (FF)
RECOMMENDATION: Direct staff as necessary.
3. NEW BUSINESS:
3.A. CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL REQUEST BY MICHAEL BECKMAN OF TRUSS AND TWINE RESTAURANT ON BEHALF OF BUILDING OWNER EL PASEO HOLDINGS LLC FOR EXTERIOR MODIFICATIONS TO THE EL PASEO BUILDING, A CLASS 1 HISTORIC SITE LOCATED AT 800 NORTH PALM CANYON DRIVE, ZONE C-1 (HSPB 27). (KL)
RECOMMENDATION: Grant the certificate of approval.
3.B. CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL REQUEST BY THE ROYAL HAWAIIAN HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION FOR HEALTH DEPARTMENT-REQUIRED ALTERATIONS TO THE COMMUNITY POOLS, AT THE ROYAL HAWAIIAN CONDOMINIUMS, LOCATED AT 1750 SOUTH PALM CANYON DRIVE, ZONE R-2; HISTORIC DISTRICT #HD-2; (CASE 3.0182 MAA). (KL)
RECOMMENDATION: Grant the certificate of approval.
