REPORT OF THE POSTING OF AGENDA: The agenda for this meeting was posted for public review at the City Hall bulletin board (west side of Council Chamber) and the Planning Department counter by 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 in accordance with applicable law.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGENDA: The Historic Site Preservation Board will discuss the order of the agenda, may amend the order, note abstentions and request Consent Calendar items be removed from the consent calendar for discussion.
PUBLIC COMMENT: This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the Historic Site Preservation Board on agenda items and items of general interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. Although the Historic Site Preservation Board values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda. There will be three (3) minutes assigned for each speaker. Testimony for Public Hearings will be taken at the time of the hearing.

1.A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: APRIL 9, 2019 HSPB MEETING.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Historic Site Preservation Board Minutes of April 9, 2019.

4. NEW BUSINESS:
4.A. STEVEN G. BIGLEY, FOR THE BIGLEY FAMILY TRUST, OWNER REQUESTING APPROVAL TO DEMOLISH A CLASS 4 HISTORIC SITE LOCATED AT 111 EAST PALO VERDE AVENUE, 1100 & 1146 SOUTH PALM CANYON DRIVE (3.2161 MAA , ZONE C-1), (KL)
RECOMMENDATION: Take no further action and refer the application to the Director of Planning Services for further administrative processing to issue a demolition permit.
4.B. THE DESERT HOLLY HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION REQUESTING HISTORIC DISTRICT DESIGNATION FOR THE DESERT HOLLY CONDOMINIUMS LOCATED AT 2244 EAST TAHQUITZ CANYON WAY, HSPB #117 / HD-7, ZONE R-2 (KL)
RECOMMENDATION: (1) Receive the historic resources report prepared by the Palm Springs Preservation Foundation dated March 2019. (2) Direct staff to schedule site visits for board members and (3) schedule a public hearing of the HSPB to consider the application.
4.C. DIANE BALD, OWNER, REQUESTING CLASS 1 HISTORIC SITE DESIGNATION OF THE KIRK DOUGLAS RESIDENCE, LOCATED AT 515 WEST VIA LOLA, HSPB #118, ZONE R-1-A, APN 505-252-032. (KL)
RECOMMENDATION: (1) Receive the historic resources report prepared by the Palm Springs Preservation Foundation dated February, 2019. (2) Direct staff to schedule site visits for board members and (3) schedule a public hearing of the HSPB to consider the application.
4.D. MARTYN LAWRENCE BULLARD, OWNER, REQUESTING CLASS 1 HISTORIC SITE DESIGNATION OF THE ALLAN & MILDRED KRAMER RESIDENCE, LOCATED AT 800 EAST GRANVIA VALMONTE, HSPB #119, ZONE R-1-C, APN 507-202-017. (KL).
RECOMMENDATION: (1) Receive the historic resources report prepared by the Palm Springs Preservation Foundation dated March 2019. (2) Direct staff to schedule site visits for board members and (3) schedule a public hearing of the HSPB to consider the application.
